Security net in the roof section - fitting advice?

Does anyone have any fitting advice for the roof sleeping compartment net, have never needed to use it before but now with young child to sleep upstairs I'd like to work out how it fits, I've had a couple of goes but never had the time to work it out as we've been trying to get the kids to bed at the same time!

If it is the 'official' California net, it is easy (once you know how!). One part clips onto the plastic loops fitted onto the rising roof 'ceiling', at either side. The other part fits under the mattress on the bed - I cannot remember if there are retaining clips on this part or whether it relies on the weight of bodies on the mattress. Talking from memory here, but I think that is how it is done.
